"Trash" & "Vaudeville"

No, no, it's not the store located at 4 St. Mark's Place
(Trash and Vaudeville is actually two stores, one on top of the other)
Instead here are two performances 8 years apart- seems more like epochs-as we have 'Fake Jagger' do the big hit crowd-pleaser song "Trash" with the New York Dolls- coincidentally(?) named after an Andy Warhol movie -from 1973 during the heyday of the 'glitter' era. Mick Jagger himself made the observation in an old interview about his Sammy Petrillo, David Johansen,
"That bloke can't sing."
(I dunno, I liked 'em)
I report. You decide:

Then rewind to 1966 and Kate 'God Bless America' Smith (or was it Kate 'When The Moon Comes Over The Mountain' Smith? No matter...) hosting The Hollywood Palace variety show that was ABC's answer to Ed Sullivan I guess, featuring that fake Bonzo Dog Doo-Dah Band, The New Vaudeville Band with their big hits "Peek-A-Boo" and "Winchester Cathedral":
"Yea, though I walk through the Rudy Vallee..."
